The inspiration for the poster came firstly from seeing Terry Gilliam’s fantastic film, and how visually rich and complex it is. Another reference point that came to mind after seeing a rough cut of the film was Alan Aldridges’ poster for "Chelsea Girls".

We were very lucky to have input from Terry Gilliam himself as well as the opportunity to set up a photo-shoot with top photographer Lorenzo Ageus to photograph Lily Cole. This coupled with using unit shots of the amazing sets and props taken during the production of the film, enabled us to produce a poster that was striking, different and true to the spirit of the film.- John Calvert
