The comp was open to all and that's a huge plus. I think all designers and artists alike want to be recognized, and this comp is perfect for that. It opens all the doors, not just a few of them.

Last Flight Home is a special piece for me. I think the piece generates a certain fear that we all have - the idea that once we're in that tiny tin can with nowhere to go, our lives are in the hands of others... the emotions one would experience in the few seconds before the end would be silent, complete and all encompassing. I believe the true pain is left for ones we leave behind. If people knew that the business trip our wives or husbands were about to take would be their last, we'd kiss them a little longer at the door. I think I won because the piece draws on that fear. Hopefully, it draws people closer to. - Steve McGhee
